Eighty years after the American Revolution, the United States was still in its first form of government. France on the other hand had gone through several forms of government, and several revolutions.
This prompted French historian Francois Guizot, to ask America statesman James Russell Lowell, "How long will the American republic endure?"
Lowell replied, "As long as the ideas of the men who founded it continue dominant."
The Party of 1776 is dedicated to making sure that the ideas of the United States Founding Fathers continue dominant.
